Welcome to PromoKing! My name is Alan and I’m the founder. This website is crafted around how I like to be treated as a customer; using clear open communications, making it easy to order quality product and most importantly, no hidden surprises. The prices listed are suggested retail prices from their respective suppliers. We hate suggested retail prices :)

 

 

We are a small but passionately motivated company specializing in quality promotional products. We’ve come a long way in the promotional products industry, so we know exactly which direction to take when supplying you with high quality yet budget-friendly products.

Since we first started out, our passion for helping our customers find the best solution for their promo needs has been our driving force. Making sure the quality and the price line up so you’re never embarrassed by the promotional items your company gives out. We have satisfied customers all over the US and Canada. Our beginnings go back to 2006 when my friend Dave and I conceptualized a printing business. Dave decided to become a teacher instead and bestow all his years of business experience on the next generation of lucky kids. He’s a heck of a teacher. I thank him for the insight and the countless hours of either validating or slamming down my ideas. Without those conversations, none of this would have happened.

The beginnings are a short story that has to do with printing in the wedding industry, if we get the opportunity to speak at some point in the future, I’d be happy to tell you the story if you’re really interested. 

My last business before the promotional products and print industry involved selling used vehicles direct to used car dealers. This was in the early 2000’s. We used many different methods to try and attract the car dealers attention such as phone calls, faxes, emails and then we found some success with postcards for the last 3 years. I became very familiar with the print process and found ways to print them for less and less. In fact I became irritated with what I saw print companies taking as margins on the same product I was buying. I joked at that time about selling print for less money because of what I had learned. 

I did just that, I took the postcard and made it the size of a business card and sold it for $99/1000. In our first 2 years of business we sold nothing but that card to over 400 businesses.  

Then our customers started asking for more. Postcards, brochures, presentation folders and more. So we started offering more print for our customers. 

In 2010, we placed our first pen order with BIC for a customer and also ordered some for us that we handed out to our customers. I very quickly realized that our customers wanted pens and other promo product as well to help market their business. 

Today, while still offering a full line of print products, we have gathered numerous collections of promotional products by quality suppliers that we are proud to offer.
